Solar water pumps
A pump is sized by water, not by watts. Discharge, head and crop cycle come first; the array follows.
Water requirement drives the specification
The right pump depends on how deep your water sits, how far it has to travel, and how much your crop needs at peak demand. Undersize it and irrigation stretches into a second day; oversize it and you’ve paid for capacity that never runs.
We start from the borewell yield test and the crop water requirement for your acreage, derive the head and discharge, and only then size the motor and array. PM-KUSUM paperwork runs in parallel.

Frequently asked questions
What subsidy is available?
PM-KUSUM provides central and state assistance for standalone and grid-connected agricultural pumps. Share and eligibility vary by component and state allocation, so we confirm the current position for your district at survey.
Will it run on cloudy days?
Yes, at reduced discharge. VFD controllers keep the pump operating through lower irradiance rather than cutting out, so irrigation continues at a slower rate.
Can I use it with drip irrigation?
Yes, and it pairs well — drip systems run at lower discharge over longer hours, which suits a solar duty cycle. Tell us your emitter layout and we’ll size for it.
