Frequently asked questions
How many parking bays does it cover?
Roughly one bay per 3–3.5 kW installed, so a 100 kW carport shades around thirty bays. Exact coverage depends on your bay dimensions and column layout.
Is it more expensive than rooftop?
Per kilowatt, yes — you’re paying for structural steel and foundations. But you gain covered parking, optimal tilt and no roof-penetration risk, which often justifies the difference on a commercial site.
Can EV chargers be added later?
If we provision for it now, yes. Retrofitting conduit through a completed structure is disruptive, so we specify cable routes and spare capacity during design even when chargers come later.
