Suryora is the solar EPC arm of MK Groups. We have been sizing, building and maintaining solar plants in this state since 1999 — long enough to have gone back and fixed the things we learned from.
A contracting business that moved into generation
MK Groups has been an electrical contractor in Odisha since well before solar was commercially viable here. When rooftop economics finally turned, we already had the licences, the crews and the DISCOM relationships — what we added was solar engineering.
That order matters. Plenty of solar companies started with panels and learned electrical work afterwards. We came the other way round, which is why our failure rates sit where they do and why our engineers are on payroll rather than hired by the job.
Today Suryora covers four customer segments and eight lines of work across thirty cities, with regional maintenance crews stationed outside Bhubaneswar so that a fault in Rourkela is not a six-hour drive from the nearest technician.

From first rooftop to forty-two megawatts
The order of these matters — each stage only became possible because the previous one built the capability.
Founded in Bhubaneswar
Started as an electrical contracting arm of MK Groups, taking on the first rooftop installations in the city.
First megawatt
Crossed 1 MW of cumulative installed capacity and brought design engineering fully in house.
Industrial and ground mount
Commissioned the first captive ground-mounted plant for a manufacturing client in western Odisha.
Statewide coverage
Service network extended to thirty cities and towns, with regional O&M crews stationed outside the capital.
PM Surya Ghar
Became a registered vendor under the national rooftop scheme, filing subsidy applications on behalf of households.
